Arena USA signs 20x NCAA All-American, Natalie Hinds, through 2021

arena USA announced today that they have signed an official endorsement deal with USA sprinter, Natalie Hinds.

USA Badminton introduce schools and coaching programmes

USA Badminton (USAB) has implemented the Badminton World Federation (BWF) schools and coach certification programmes.

Entitled “Shuttle Time”, the schools programme offers teachers access to free resources, training and equipment, which supports the teaching of safe and inclusive badminton activities to children aged five to 15 years old.

The programme is now being implemented in 138 countries. 

Resources are now also available for coaches, with the online component of the BWF level one coach certification programme free of charge and open to all members of USAB.

After successful completion of the online component, an in-person assessment will be conducted by a BWF certified instructor for certification as a level one coach.

Four Aggies Named to USA Swimming National Team Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Texas A&M swimming programs had four swimmers and four coaches named to the U.S. National Team, as announced by USA Swimming on Wednesday. Current junior Shaine Casas qualified for the national team and will be guided by A&M head coach Jay Holmes and associate head coach Jason Calanog, while former student-athletes Lisa Bratton, Bethany Galat and Breeja Larson will compete on the women’s side and be coached by A&M head coach Steve Bultman as well as associate head coach Tanica Jamison

The 2020-21 USA Swimming National Team is comprised of returning 2019-20 National Team members and athletes that achieved a performance faster than the sixth-place time on the 19-20 roster before March 17, 2020. USA Swimming National Team Roster For 2020-21 Released With 115 Total Athletes

As athletes prepare for the new Olympic year, and both the rescheduled U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming and Olympic Games in Tokyo, USA Swimming today announced its 2020-2021 National Team roster. The 115-athlete USA Swimming National Team roster includes 59 men and 56 women.

Following the global disruption to the 2019-2020 season, USA Swimming made the decision to keep every returning athlete from the most recent U.S. National Team roster and add two qualifying athletes: Molly Hannis (Santa Rosa, Calif./Tennessee Aquatics) and Sam Stewart (Hattiesburg, Mass./YMCA Hub Fins). Hannis joins the team following her result in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2020 TYR Pro Swim Series at Des Moines, while Stewart’s 200m I.M. performance at the 2020 Speedo Sectionals qualified him for the 2020-2021 team.

USA learns path it must take for return to FIFA World Cup

The United States learned Wednesday the path it must take in continental qualifying to return to the FIFA World Cup after missing out on a 2018 trip to Russia.

A 14-match round-robin qualifying slate for the Qatar 2022 World Cup was unveiled by the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) including five automatic finalists and three play-in nations.

The first qualifying window for the final “Octagonal” series in June 2021 will see the Americans visiting an opponent to be determined while their final match will be in March 2022 at Costa Rica.

The top three finishers in the eight-team final CONCACAF group will qualify for Qatar 2022. The fourth-place team will play a home-and-away series with a team from another region to decide another berth.

Drive California’s northern and central coast and you’ll mostly see surfers in wetsuits, beachcombers and sand sculptors. But along Southern California’s sunny and warm coast, you’ll see more sunbathers and people splashing in the waves. Summer water temperatures average from about 50 F in Northern California to 70 F in southern California, making the southerly beaches the most swimmable. Water quality and waves also play a role.


Summer’s surface near-shore waters in Southern California range from the mid- to high-60s, with the exception being Newport Beach, which reaches 70 F in August. If you’re going for a quick swim, you’ll likely be fine with just a swimsuit or swimsuit and rash guard. If you’re swimming for an a half hour or more, you may need a shorty or full wetsuit.
