The Latest in Rutgers Football

It has been an unprecedented time for the Rutgers football program as the COVID-19 pandemic has provided a major shakeup into the world of college football. The Scarlet Knights were originally set to begin the 2020 season against Monmouth, although that changed to a 10-game season which featured Nebraska as the first opponent of the year. However, that schedule was quickly wiped away as the fall season was cancelled because of concerns over the coronavirus pandemic and how the conference could safely navigate through a season. 

Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano recently spoke out on a media conference call to run down the latest with his football team. Schiano took over on Dec 1st of last year and has now season spring practice, training camp and the fall season all canceled. But there is hope for football soon in Piscataway.
